MSEUF hosts UTAR-Malaysia’s cultural learning experience trip
As part of its Cultural Learning and Exploration Exchange Program, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) played host to 15 students and two faculty members from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Kampar Campus, Malaysia last Sept. 23-30.
The delegates participated in different activities that showed the mutual cooperation between Filipino students and students from UTAR-Malaysia.
The MSEUF College of Business and Accountancy headed by Acting Dean Catherine Limjuco with CBA students led the conduct of activities, namely: Malaysian students’ interaction with students during CBA Fiesta; class immersion in the College of Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences and College of Architecture and Fine Arts; and attendance to the lecture-tour to the Banco Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in Lucena City.
Students and faculty from UTAR visited some historical landmarks such as the Kamay ni Hesus Shrine in Lucban; the oldest Malagonlong Bridge; and the oldest-biggest-longest with the second largest clock in Asia, the St. Michael de Archangel Minor Basilica in Tayabas and in Quezon Province; and the famous Villa Escudero Museum and Garden Park in Tiaong.
The visitors also participated in the process of making coconut wine lambanog and in the production of the yummy yema cake of Rodillas both in Brgy. Wakas, Tayabas.
Likewise, visiting students and faculty participated in the cultural dance and choir workshops with the MSEUF Banyuhay Dance Troupe and the MSEUF Concert Singers, respectively. UTAR hosted the same program with the MSEUF delegates last June 24-31 in Malaysia.
