Hublot unveils the Big Bang Meca – 10 Blue Ceramic
With a 10-day power reserve and an iconic indigo blue ceramic case, the Big Bang Meca – 10 brings together cutting edge mechanics and ultra resistant materials in deep blue color. The unique design of the Big Bang Meca – 10 Blue Ceramic features a stylized skeleton that showcases the originality of the cogwheel power reserve indicator reflecting the watchmaker’s aesthetic boldness.
Housed in a 45mm case and forged in blue ceramic, the Big Bang Meca – 10, reveals a bluish skeleton mechanism with a rubber strap in the same vivid blue color. This timepiece emulates the company's concept of “The Art of Fusion” and the boldness of combining elements, not regularly used in watchmaking, which became the brand’s signature. This is the same philosophy evi- denced in all of Hublot's creations, developments, actions and partnerships.
Made from high tech ceramic – zirconium dioxide, with high temperature sintering, the case, bezel and clasp are ex- tremely hard and solid, but lighter than steel, making this piece resistant to scratching and aging.
Developed for over two years, the manually wound skeleton calibre, with a 10-day power reserve, has over 223 parts, featuring two barrels parallel to the power reserve indicator and a cowheel system with two rakes sliding along a horizontal axis, is a testament to the expertise and beauty of the time piece.
Accentuating this mechanical architecture, an opening at the 3 o'clock reveals a red dot when nearing the end of its power reserve, while at the 6 o'clock a gearwheel indicates the exact number of days remaining, a small second regulator is also visible at the 7 o'clock.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, stated: “Made at our modern and perfectly integrated factory, the Big Bang Meca – 10 demonstrates the complete mastery we have of our indus- trial resources, from R&D to the creation of calibres, high-tech cases and innovative materials.”
