ROBREDO RATING ‘GOOD’

- —INQUIRER RESEARCH

Trust in Vice President Leni Robredo remained “good” in the third quarter of the year, as nearly 3 of 5 Filipinos had much trust in her, results of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed.

The nationwide poll, done from Sept. 15 to 23, found that 59 percent of 1,500 adult respondents had “much trust” in Robredo, and 21 percent had “little trust,” to yield a net trust rating (much trust minus little trust) of “good” +38, down 2 points from “good” +40 (57 percent muchtrust, 17 percent little trust) last June.

Rise in Mindanao

The decline in overall net trust rating of Robredo was due to decreases in her rating in the Visayas and rest of Luzon.

By region, Robredo’s net trust shot up to “good” in Mindanao (+42 in September from “moderate” +14 in June) and stayed “moderate” in Metro Manila (+24 from +22).

It decreased but remained “good” in the rest of Luzon (+42 from +47) but fell from “very good” to “good” in the Visayas (+34 from +51).

The SWS considers a rating of +70 and above “excellent,” +50 to +69 “very good,” +30 to +49 “good,” +10 to +29 “moderate,” +9 to -9 “neutral,” -10 to -29 “poor,” -30 to - 49 “bad,” -50 to -69 “very bad” and -70 and below “execrable.”

The noncommissioned poll used face-to-face interviews and had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3 percentage points.
