CMB CHIBA, ONE OF JAPAN'S OLDEST LANGUAGE TRAINING INSTITUTIONS, OPENS PROGRAM IN MANILA
Chiba Mode Business ( CMB) Nihonggo School, one of Japan's leading and oldest Japanese language training institutions, has partnered with a Richwell Training Center Services, Inc., a TESDA-accredited training center, to offer to Filipinos its unique "Learn Japanese, Work in Japan" Training Program.
Richwell Training Center Services, Inc., led by its President, businesswoman Anne M. Quiza, and CMB Nihonggo School President and Chief Executive Officer Yasuo Goto, formally launched the program yesterday in a colourful event at the Sofitel Manila at the CCP Complex in Pasay City.
CMB Nihonggo School, based in Chiba, Japan, is a 70year old company that has invested in the education of thousands of young people of various nationalities in 11 countries.
"Learn Japanese, Work in Japan" is a Japanese language training program involving attendance in Japanese language classes at CMB Manila for 300 hours and then another period of learning the difficult Japanese language at CMB Japan, specifically, in Chiba.
In Japan, the language training would take approximately 20 hours per week with the remaining week-hours, at least 28 hours to be devoted to part-time work, sufficient for the student to earn a modest income to support their stay in Japan.
"This mode will be until such time that the student gains proficiency in the language at the workplace, which by then will make him or her ready to transition and qualify to a higher education level," said Ms. Anne Quiza, Richwell Training Center Services, Inc. president.
"After the student has become Japanese proficient, he or she may stay in Japan by enrolling in an international business course, also at CMB Chiba, and working part-time with a study-work ratio of 20:28 hours per week. The final phase of the program is the Growth Ship internship, where the student will work full-time in a Japanese company to be facilitated by Growth Ship Co., Ltd., a human resource development company which is also our partner and a sister-company of CMB Chiba," she added.
"Learn Japanese, Work in Japan Training Program" is a tuition-fee based study-work program that involves an investment in a career for future growth. However, whatever cost it will take to participate in the program will be offset by the myriad of benefits and opportunities that a foreign language student-cum-worker will enjoy while in Japan.
"The short-term benefits will be economic, and the longterm reward will be a better future for the student and his family. It will assure the student a career trajectory in Japan, a first world country that welcomes not just the adventurous but most importantly the hard-working and the dreamers," she explained.
Ms. Quiza said investing in and building a future career in Japan is what the program is all about.
"With the program's opening in the Philippines come January 2019, we will be the 12th country in the world where CMB Chiba will have a strong presence," she said.
In the next two months, CMB Nihongo School and Richwell Training Center Services, Inc. will embark on a marketing campaign to promote the program and explore all avenues to reach out to as many young people as possible, so they will be aware of the immense career and employment opportunities and benefits of studying the Japanese language.
Richwell Training Center Services, Inc. will specifically offer the program to Filipinos who are willing, ready, and able to learn Japanese as a second language; who would like to build their future in employment in Japan; and who dream of speaking the Japanese language to be able to interact and engage Japanese nationals for business, leisure, or education.
The Philippine launch of the "Learn Japanese, Work in Japan Training Program" was attended by members of the Philippine media, as well as students from select colleges and universities in Metro Manila. TESDA Executive Director Sonia Lipio; Mr Regienald Espaldon of the DOLE National Capital Region; Mr. Wilson S. Dela Rama of the Office of the TESDA Deputy Director General for Operations; Ms. Maria Rowena P. Taylor, Program Coordinator, TESDA NCR; Ms. Roslyn Vibar and Mr. Mohammad Victor of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration were among the government official-guests at the launching. They were joined by Mr. Yutaka Miyashita, President, Growth Ship Co., Ltd., also a program partner of CMB Nihonggo School and Richwell Training Center Services.
