Whimsical thrills await guests at Resorts World Manila as the Philippines’ pioneer integrated resort welcomes the Christmas season with its Grand Fiesta Manila 2018 celebrations.
RWM’s Grand Fiesta Manila promises world-class entertainment, sumptuous dining offerings and interactive holiday displays such as the Christmas Sleigh at Café Maxims, Santa’s Workshop and Elves, Christmas Arches and a new, soon-to-be- unveiled Lumina walkway.
Kicking off this year’s Grand Fiesta was the lighting of the 35foot Christmas tree at The Plaza in Newport Mall. Already looking festive with its myriad of Christmas balls and snowflake lanterns, the tree came to life even more when its countless twinkling lights were lit.
Adding to the celebrations, the UP Singing Ambassadors treated the crowd to a medley of Christmas carols while dancers from Ballet Manila seemed like living dancing dolls, making every child’s dream come true.

Keeping in mind that the Christmas season is, more importantly, a time of prayer, RWMwill be holding anticipated Simbang Gabi and Christmas Day Mass services. The anticipated Simbang Gabi will be
held daily at 6 p.m. beginning Dec. 15 until Dec. 23 at The Plaza. The ChristmasDay High Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 25 at The Newport Performing Arts Theatre.
Guests can also look forward to a free Christmas Day concert featuring OPM artists at The Plaza at 6 p.m.
To bid farewell to a great 2018 and to welcome an even greater 2019, RWM’s Grand Countdown at the Marriott Grand Ballroom (MGB) features a star-studded lineup of entertainers, headlined by the country’s premiere pop star Sarah Geronimo and hosted by saucy comedienne Giselle Sanchez. The doors to the Grand Countdown open at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, following the New Year’s Eve Mass at the Ceremonial Hall of the MGB at 6 p.m.
In addition to spectacular entertainment, the Grand Countdown features a scrumptious banquet prepared by the Manila Marriott Hotel culinary team led by multi-award winning executive chef Meik Brammer. Raffle draws will be held throughout the evening where everyone will surely go home a winner. Children will feel right at home with the Grand Countdown Kidzone, filled with special treats and activities to keep them entertained.
At The Plaza, a free New Year Countdown featuring Ely Buendia and The Ransom Collective will be held. A New Year’s Day Mass will also be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Jan. 1.
