One of the two Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) graduates who made it to the Top 10 in the recently released Physician’s Licensure Examination attributed her success to “faith in God and relentless effort at being the best that she could be in her studies.”
Dr. Alyssa Camille Chua Ablaza with her 89.67 percent rating landed her at the 9th spot in the examination held last September. 4,542 aspiring doctors took the exam and a total of 81.84 percent of examinees passed.
Ablaza, who hails from Davao City, was an honor scholar during her collegiate years, and a full scholar of the FEU-NRMF United States Alumni Association during her medical course years. She is the daughter of a businessman and company employee.
The other FEU-NRMF examinee who was in the Top 10 is Dr. Dainiel Edgar Ahyong Reyes, whose 90 percent examination rating landed him in the sixth spot.
The FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine over the years has been consistently adjudged as one of the top performing medical schools in the country producing topnotchers in the physician licensure examination, as well as in the licensure examinations for nursing, medical technology, among others. In the September exams, the Institute registered 94.01-percent passing percentage over the national passing percentage of 81.84 percent.
