Medicard race promotes healthy lifestyle

Amix of beginners and seasoned triathletes prevailed in the first Medicard Sprint Triathlon at Fontana Leisure Park in Clark, Pampanga, in November last year. Adrian ThomasDionisio topped the male 15-17 years group with a time of 1 hour, 7 minutes and 46 seconds while Julie Somoso ruled the female 50-andabove in 1:59:28. The 600-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike and 5-km run event was meant to encourage everyone to exercise and move, said Medicard president Nicky Montoya. Groupwinners were Team Fuego (allfemale) and TeamActiveHealth (family).
