LOVE BEAUTY, LOVE THE PLANET: DO BOTH WITH THESE ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS

Love Beauty and Planet gives people the option to take good care of ourselves and the earth, as well

- By Nicole Go Thorp @Inq_Lifestyle

Every so often, we stumble upon a video or photograph, or read about issues on Mother Nature. As we become more aware of rapid changes in the world caused by global warming, waste disposal and pollution and how they affect our lifestyles, many have been making adjustments in what they consume.

This doesn’t mean sacrificing quality products that work well with your body’s needs.

Thanks to today’s technology, eco-beauty brand Love Beauty and Planet gives us the option to take good care of ourselves and the planet, as well. It’s fully understanding the importance of self-care, without compromising nature.

Soon to be available on ecommerce sites in the Philippines, Unilever’s sustainable beauty line takes being environment-friendly to heart, from the formula all the way to the packaging, reducing their carbon footprint in the process.

The oils and fragrances used in the formulas are ethically sourced from around the world, including the Amazon, Haiti and Morocco.

Love Beauty and Planet products are certified vegan and cruelty-free, with no silicones, dyes, parabens or colorants.

This American brand also uses fast-rinse technology in their conditioners, lessening water usage by breaking down and washing off hair faster. To top it off, the bottles used are made with post-consumer recycled plastic and 100percent recyclable.

Starting Jan. 21, one can choose from among three different collections that include shampoos, conditioners, body washes and body lotions.

Wrapped in pink packaging, The Murumuru Butter and Bulgarian Rose Collection keeps colored or dry hair vibrant and moisturized, and skin glowing and smooth, with a hint of rose fragrance all over.

Feeling of calm

The scent of the purple Argan Oil and French Lavender Collection gives an instant feeling of calm while it smoothens locks and instantly refreshes skin.

The green, supremely purifying Tea Tree Oil and Vetiver Collection offers deep cleansing and strength for hair and detoxes all skin types.

With these products, Love Beauty and Planet allows one to contribute to positive change, “one small act of love at a time.”

First in Southeast Asia, Love Beauty and Planet products will be exclusively available in the Philippines via e-commerce on Lazada, Beauty MNL, Zalora, Beauty Bubble, Shopee and Watsons Online on Jan. 21, at a one-time pop-up at the South Wing of Power Plant Mall on Jan. 25-27, and in select drugstores and department stores nationwide starting Feb. 1.

The recyclable bottles are 400 ml and priced at P390 for all the shampoos, conditioners, and body lotions, while the body washes are P290.
