DILG FILES RAPS VS 50 MAYORS, GOVERNOR
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has filed complaints with the Office of the Ombudsman against 50 mayors and a governor for not organizing or “low performing” local drug abuse councils.
Of the 51 officials accused of misconduct and dereliction of duty, nine are on President Duterte’s list of so-called narcopoliticians.
The local governments of the nine politicians have “low functioning” drug abuse councils, according to Assistant Interior Secretary Ricojudge Echiverri.
Those local governments are Hadji Muhtamad, Basilan; Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat; Saudi Ampatuan and Ampatuan, Maguindanao; Maguing, Lanao del Sur; Lasam, Cagayan; San Fernando, Cebu; Bay, Laguna; and Camiling, Tarlac.
