introduces new line of coffee
There’s a new taste and aroma brewing at the Famous Belgian Waffles. But, no, it’s not the latest flavor of their famed waffwich (waffle + sandwhich). This is something that is bound to perk you up with every cup.
Say hello to the brand’s very own— and first line of coffee: the Famous Blends White Coffee.
“Our coffee has always been a favorite of our patrons because they really make a perfect match to our waffle sandwich,” said Kate Cezar, R&D Director and Vice President of Innovention Food Resources, Inc., the company that owns Famous Belgian Waffles.
We have partnered with Kluang Coffee Powder Factory Pte Ltd. one of the oldest coffee companies in Malaysia who is known for using the traditional roasting method of coffee beans to make a great cup of coffee. Their factory in Malaysia has become a sought after Tourist attraction presently. It has also been the top choice for many years now by royalties and ministers in their country.
The Famous Blends White Coffee has a subtle sweetness and creaminess —perfectly suited to capture the Filipino taste. It can be enjoyed hot or iced, depending on customer preferences.
The premium taste is achieved by using a 3 beans recipe of liberica, robusta, and arabica sourced from Malaysia, Vietnam, Colombia, and Brazil. Cezar emphasized that they only use the highest quality beans.
Cezar also explained that their coffee is called white coffee, not because of the color, but because of the process used. The traditional way to roast black coffee is using high temperature with direct baking. White coffee, on the other hand, uses a low temperature and slow roasting formula which results in a more intense aroma and bolder coffee taste. In addition, white coffee is less acidic and retains more antioxidants.
“Our waffles have a signature aroma and taste that you won’t find elsewhere. I’m proud that we can say the same thing with our Famous Blends White Coffee. These two are really a perfect combination that anyone can enjoy anytime of the day” she said.
Since the Famous Belgian Waffles opened in 2012, it has grown to over 500 locations nationwide—a testament to the delicious and unique taste of their waffles and coffee. Afranchise in San Diego, California, has also recently opened. Cezar said they are looking to reach more locations in the Middle East and other parts of East Asia.
The Famous Blends White Coffee has been available for over a month. Cezar said the feedback has been very positive. She emphasized that just because the coffee is instant doesn’t mean it is of inferior quality. On the contrary, the coffee is of premium taste through and through.
