DepEd classrooms program gets boost from Sanicare, HOPE

-

Every day, thousands of Filipino children still go to school without a proper classroom. The classroom shortage is a real problem and with 88 percent of Filipino children attending public schools, the need for functional classrooms continues to grow. For Sanitary Care Products Asia Inc. (SCPA), makers of Sanicare, improving the lives of Filipinos is its main mission. Fueled by its love and commitment to the country, Sanicare provides carefully crafted products that answer the hygiene needs of every Filipino without having to harm the environment, and involves itself in various community building efforts particularly providing a conducive learning environment for children. For several years now, Sanicare has been an active supporter of the Department of Education (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela. This year, Sanicare takes on a new advocacy as it partners with DepEd and HOPE to create more classrooms. HOPE is the first Philippine company to donate 100 percent of its profits to the building of public school classrooms. Through "Hope in a Bottle" and its partnerships with brands and retailers, they have built numerous classrooms across the country, positively impacting over 14,000 students. Sanicare furthers its mission as it joins HOPE’s efforts in building much needed classrooms starting this June by constructing two classrooms in Lagao 2nd Bo. Elementary School, located in General Santos City, South Cotabato. Sanicare also allows consumers to help Filipino students, simply by making the conscious decision to choose products that advocate the creation of more classrooms. “We at Sanicare value education and its powerful impact on our youth, that’s why we are constantly searching for innovative and creative ways to help with our country’s pressing problems. Just as we believe that every Filipino deserves access to high quality and innovative hygiene products, we also believe that every student deserves the right to a safe, comfortable and conducive learning environment like the Sanicare Hope classrooms we aspire to build,’’ said Lea SioPacis, SCPA marketing director.
