TWO-DAY ANTICRIME OPERATION IN PARAÑAQUE CITY NETS 631

Over 1,000 policemen patrolle dt he c ity’s street sf rom Oct .1 to 3an d caught 631 people—554 of them for violating city ordinances such as driving am otorcycle without a helmet, drinking and smoking in public, and littering.

Twenty-five other swe r ea rrested for using or selling illegal drugs with t hep oli cec onfiscatin­g 325 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing 105 grams and eight sachets o fma rijuana, wit hac ombined value of P714,000.

The Sacleo, also kno wn as a “One-ti me B ig-time” (OTBT) police operation agains t dr ugs, wanted persons, illegal firearms an dot her forms o fc riminality, likewise le d to t he seizure o f34 vehicles withou tr egistratio­n document s an d 13 illegal firearms.

The two-day operations conducted by the Parañaque police were t hef ourth Sacle oto be c onducte di ns outher nme tro Mani la s ince September. The Taguig, Pasay and Makati police earlier caught a total of 1,069 violators.
