Awesome Oktoberfes­t for everyone

Oktoberfes­t is Christmas for beer lovers, but did you know that the German festival started in September? It was a twoweek wedding party in Munich that culminated on Oct. 12, 1810, held in celebratio­n of the marriage of Bavaria crown prince (later King Louis I) to Princess Therese von Sachsen-hildburgha­usen. The Tent at Solaire

German Club Manila and Solaire Resort & Casino presents the 81st Oktoberfes­t in Manila on Oct. 17-19 featuring Weihenstep­han beer, pretzels, Munich-style sausages, potato salad, cheese and cold cuts.
