HIV spread fastest in PH, says study

While the total number of HIV cases in the Philippines is “still very low” compared with those in African countries, its growth rate is the “fastest” in the world, according to the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). HIV cases continue to rise in the country because vulnerable populations either do not have access or do not use contraceptives like condoms.
