Tourist loses hands in Polynesia shark attack

PAPEETE—A French tourist lost both hands in a rare shark attack in the Pacific islands of Polynesia, authorities said on Tuesday. The 35-year-old woman was swimming during a whalewatching trip on Monday in the French overseas territory when the oceanic whitetip shark tore into her chest and arms.
