Fire in Manila leaves 2 kids dead

A fire in Tondo, Manila, which broke out on Wednesday morning left two children dead. The city’s Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) suspected that Aliyah Morales, 9, and her younger sister Anastacia, 1, died of suffocatio­n. The blaze started in a threestory residentia­l building owned by Marina Sia on Bulacan Street at 9:30 a.m. It reached the first alarm and was put out in less than 10 minutes. The BFP estimated the damage to property at P30,000.
