ESSENTIALS FOR ‘NO TIME, ALL THE TIME’ SCHEDULES
The days are going by fast and with barely two months left in 2019, there may be a need to add a few essentials that will help you deal with sticky situations.
As your calendar gets filled with meetings, parties and after-work hangouts, it’s good to have the Ellana Cosmetics Gaia Magnetic Makeup Palette in your bag for a quick touch-up.
The palette can hold a few must-haves to help refresh your look throughout the day. I use the Ellana Cosmetics multipurpose creams as a lip creme, blush and eye shadow. They easily blend with the fingers.
I also put Lip Drunk Blush in Mimosa for a subtle highlight.
Another fuss-free product is the Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon—if you like the long-lasting formula of the Superstay Liquid Lipstick but prefer the ease of a classic lipstick. It has a tapered tip and a built-in sharpener so you can line your lips and fill them in with just one tube. My current favorite is the deep redbrown “Living on the Edge.”
I also use products that work double time. When I can’t keep my eyes closed long enough for a full cleansing routine, I do the minimum with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloth. I like how it feels like water in the skin—it doesn’t sting and does a good job of erasing my makeup. It’s also fragrance-free and noncomedogenic, so it’s safe for sensitive skin.
Sea salt
After I cleanse, I still put a premium on one of the most basic hygiene habits: brushing my teeth. I like that the Closeup White Attraction Natural Smile Lemon Essence + Sea Salt doesn’t leave a numb feeling in my mouth. It gently cleanses the teeth with sea salt and leaves the breath fresh with lemon essence. It also promises to whiten the teeth in two weeks.
Spray-on products have also captured my “no time, all the time” schedule. For a quick DIY manicure session, I recommend the Sally Hansen No More Stains Spray-on Base Coat. You just give each nail a spritz and the formula dries almost instantly. A base coat is important to protect your nails from discoloration and also strengthens them to prevent annoying hangnails.
My latest discovery is the Lush Tea Tree Toner Water. Since it has tea tree, it relieves acneprone skin and also cuts down on tugging on the skin. No need to wipe this with a cotton pad. Just spray it on and gently pat it into your skin. You can also use this throughout the day for on-the-go freshening.
