Optimism crowns the new Miss Asia Pacific International 2019

-

“I believe with my positive outlook in life, I can guide the next generation to love themselves more and to believe that perfection isn’t everything. Because at the end of the day, we are unique in our own way and that’s okay.” This inspiring answer by Chaiyenne Huisman to the final question won for her the much coveted Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 title.

Standing out among 53 other beautiful and inspiring ladies around the world, Spanish beauty queen Chaiyenne Huisman took home the title and the crown last October 9 at the Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 coronation night at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. Completing her court are: Eoanna Constanza of Dominican Republic, 1st runner-up; Jessica Cianchino from Canada, 2nd runnerup; Carolina Schüler of Brazil, 3rd runner-up; and Fiorella Cortes from Costa Rica, 4th runner-up.

In the final question where the Top 5 candidates were asked about the legacy they plan to establish and leave behind should they win the pageant, Huisman showcased her refreshing optimism with which she plans to guide the future generation. Later in an interview, when asked about her winning answer, she bared that she’s been through enough things herself. “And I’ve noticed that going negative was not the way forward. [There were] inspiring messages people have been telling me and I just like to also inspire others to be positive.”

Hosted by Bobby Tonelli, Joey Mead-king, and Sam YG, the Vegas-themed coronation night also presented the pageant’s preliminary winners who had secured their spots in the Top 25, including Denisse Nicolle Ligpitan of Germany (Best in National Costume), Ana Maria Ciritel of Romania (Best in Swimsuit), and Constanza who won the Evening Gown Competition. The list further includes the winners of the recently-installed Continental Queen, a preliminary award given to the candidates with advocacies that best align with the organization’s: Michèle-ange Minkata of Cameroon (Continental Queen—africa), Klyza Castro from the Philippines (Continental Queen—asia), Lauralyn Vermeersch of Belgium (Continental Queen—europe), Chelsea Martin of New Zealand (Continental Queen—oceania), and Cianchino who was hailed Continental Queen—americas. Completing the early qualifiers is the winner of People’s Choice Award, Chunita Wongwiboonrath of Thailand.

As part of their prizes, Huisman and her court will tour around the host country, the Philippines, including the scenic islands of Boracay, Cebu, and Palawan. Huisman will then continue her reign for the whole year performing her duties in promoting Miss Asia Pacific International’s advocacy—beauty in diversity.
