Miss Toyota Alabang candidates bring cheer to young cancer patients
While there are many challenges to determine who’s the best and fairest in a beauty pageant, candidates of the Miss Toyota Alabang 2020 went through a different experience that they can surely count as the most memorable in their search for the crown.
The ladies, all 20 of them, joined doctors, nurses and medical staff of the Cesar Tiu Lee Pediatric Blood Disorders and Tumor Unit of St. Luke’s Medical Center-quezon City in spreading cheers to young cancer patients.
At least for a short time, the candidates had to let off the brewing tension as the coronation day nears by bonding together with the ailing children, handing out goodies and joining them in games and activities on a fun-filled day.
For the kids, it was time well-spent with some of the beautiful ladies in the Metro.
No one should be happier than the chairman of Toyota Alabang, Inc. Cesar Tiu Lee himself whose organizing team succeeded in putting pageant contestants through an experience that gives them the chance to look at the beauty of life from a different perspective.
Candidates were able to spend quality time with the kids and share inspirational stories for a much-needed reprieve in their continuing battle withtheir ailments.
Dr. Allan Robert Racho, who heads the Cesar Tiu Lee Pediatric Blood Disorders and Tumor Unit, was thankful for the
visit as well and praised the continuing support of Toyota Alabang, whose founder the unit was named after.
“We truly appreciate the effort of our pageant contestants to cheer up our young patients and it’s a welcome extension of
the unwavering support of our benefactor Mr. Cesar Tiu Lee of Toyota Alabang, Inc. to our unit,” he said.
