Marks & Spencer invites women to a fitting in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Time and time again, we’re reminded that nothing remains constant—not even our bra sizes. Marks & Spencer has launched its bra fit campaign to remind customers to come in for a free fitting. Available in Marks & Spencer stores all year-round, the Bra Fit Service gives women the chance to update their undergarment wardrobe with properly sized bras and flattering cuts, while kicking off the habit of getting fitted regularly.
In time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Marks & Spencer has partnered with Icanserve Foundation, a Philippine-based nongovernment organization that promotes early breast cancer detection, and access to accurate diagnosis and timely treatment.
Until Oct. 31, everyone is invited to be involved as Marks & Spencer will take 15 percent off all bra styles, and when customers make a P50 donation to the Icanserve Foundation instore, they’ll receive 20 percent off from purchases made in the same category.
Marks & Spencer was the first UK high street retailer to launch post-surgery lingerie. The style was designed for women who have undergone a mastectomy. The thoughtful design means maximum comfort with super soft fabrics and straps and dual cotton pockets to discreetly but firmly hold prosthesis in place.
“A good-fitting bra will help your posture, give you confidence in your outerwear, and even make you look slimmer and discover your waist again,” says Marks & Spencer lingerie expert Julia Mercer.
Mercer stresses that finding the right bra starts with a correct-size underband. Women should only have enough space to get two fingers under their bra’s band when worn.
However, finding the ideal fit once is not a long-term guarantee.
“Your breast shape can change, when you gain or lose weight. Therefore it is imperative that you are fitted by a fully trained bra fit expert to ensure you are wearing the right size bra,” Mercer explains. It is recommended that women get remeasured every six to 12 months.
Marks & Spencer’s specialists are trained to provide nononsense assistance in tracking down every customer’s perfect match—regardless of size, shape or occasion—from the brand’s extensive roster of undergarments.
