ORTIGAS LAND OPENS ESTANCIA EAST WING

Ortigas Land unveiled on Friday the new wing of its Estancia Mall in Pasig City, marking a new milestone for this 88-year-old company.

“The Estancia East Wing is a testament on how Ortigas Land has transforme­d into a dynamic company, drawing on the combined expertise of shareholde­r partners in urban planning, property developmen­t and retail operations,” Ortigas Land president and CEO Jaime E. Ysmael said in his speech during the launch.

Estancia expansion will elevate the retail shopping experience of Filipinos, especially nearby residents. We have lined up activities as well to ensure that they could enjoy Christmas festivitie­s in the convenienc­es of Estancia,” Ysmael added.

Joining Ysmael in the unveiling of the new wing were Atty. The Estancia Mall—positioned as a nice, cozy, and feelgood kind of mall to serve the ever evolving needs of discerning customers—is a key component of the masterplan of Capitol Commons, a 10-hectare fully integrated, mixed use developmen­t in the Ortigas business district.

“The expanded Estancia is positioned as a global lifestyle mall to further enhance the range of shopping, dining, and entertainm­ent offerings available to all our residentia­l and office markets,” Ysmael said. “The East Wing will complement the existing mall as it offers a lot of new lifestyle shops.”

The Estancia East Wing will be home to the first Ortigasbra­nded cinemas, the newest branch of SM Store, and a wellcurate­d selection of dining and retail shops, all promising an invigorati­ng mall experience.

The SM Store covers over 13,000 sqm of space, carrying a wide selection of merchandis­e from fashion, personal accessorie­s, gift items, to houseware and toys, among others.

The Ortigas Cinemas meanwhile, will comprise of four regular cinemas and two premier cinemas called The Screening Room. All cinemas are equipped with ultra-comfortabl­e seats seats that will elevate the movie experience. For The Screening Room, seats are “extra luxe” with plush recliners and adjustable foot and backrests.

Ysmael also announced on the side the change in the company’s corporate name, from Ortigas & Co. to Ortigas Land; the new mobile app of Ortigas malls; and the exciting activities lined up for the holidays.

Running until February is the Holiday Feast with Treats, a partnershi­p with Mastercard and Zomato, which entitles diners to special perks and privileges for every P2,000 spend using their Mastercard debit, credit, and prepaid card in participat­ing restaurant­s.

Other holiday highlights include the special performanc­e by the Philippine Ballet Theatre

of The Nutcracker on December 1; a Toy Festival from December 2 to 6; the MIIS Kids Can Bazaar on December 7; and the Missdi x Jeffrey Rogador Fashion Show on December 8. There will also be Santa Meet and Greet and fireworks every Saturday of December. There will also be a Holiday Craft Festival from December 9 to 13; the Belle de Jour 2020 Power Planner launch on December 14; a Konmari Talk on December 15; and a Coffee + Planner Festival from December 16 to 22.

In keeping with Filipino tradition, Estancia will hold the Simbang Gabi from December 15 to 23. This will be followed by a joyous Christmas Carol performanc­e from December 23 to 25 that will bring everyone into the spirit of the season.
