VOLVO PH DRIVES ON TO SUPPORT CHOSEN CHILDREN VILLAGE

-

Volvo Philippines continues its support for the residents of the Chosen Children Village along with its partner, the Nordic Chamber of Commerce (Nordcham).

For the past four years, Volvo PH have unceasingly lent its assistance to the Chosen Children Foundation, Inc. by supporting the annual Crayfish Party that the Chamber organizes. The past years have amounted to around PHP1.4 million pesos in raised funds.

This year’s party with a cause raised over half a million pesos thanks to its benefactors and other generous patrons. Dubbed as Asia’s Largest Crayfish Party, the event held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel Manila was able to earn a total of P600,000. The total proceeds were turned over to the foundation by Nordcham and Volvo PH last Oct. 16, 2019 to benefit the abandoned, neglected and surrendered children in Chosen Children Village. The funds will be used to enhance the living conditions of the mentally and physically challenged kids as well as for the daily operations of the shelter.

Aside from ferrying Nordcham officers to and from the Village in Silang, Cavite, aboard sleek and sophisticated Volvos such as the Volvo XC40, XC60,

XC90, and S90, Volvo’s commitment to Chosen Children is evident in its yearly cooperation with the Nordic Chamber. It is an extension of the company’s longstanding dedication to providing care and safety to children.

Volvo Cars is a main propo- nent of child safety in cars, com- ing up with innovations since 1964 that have progressively improved safety, ease of use, and enhanced in-car comfort for kids in a Volvo. Since then, Volvo’s unique approach of using real-life traffic situations has enabled the company to design solutions that will address how a child reacts to real-life car environments.

Caring for children in and around Volvo cars is part of Volvo’s vision that no one should be killed or seriously injured in a modern Volvo car.
