FIRST CLASS DELUXE BUS SERVICES PLYING CAGAYAN-BATAAN AND CAGAYAN-CLARK CITY START DEC. 1
Anticipating the expected big influx of tourists, foreign investors and local people going to and coming from two of the country’s fastest growing economic centers in Luzon, Victory Liner has just announced the opening of its new Point-to-point (P2P) bus services routes from Clark Global City and Mariveles, Bataan, to the capital city of Tuguegarao in Cagayan province.
Linking Mariveles-tuguegarao and Clark City-tuguegarao will spur economic growth in cities and towns along the 400 kilometer stretch of the Panphilippine highway and Isabela road. The 8 1/2-hour travel will also link Clark’s international airport with Tuguegarao’s air hub, enabling a faster delivery of goods and people to various points of Northern and Eastern Luzon. While those in Mariveles will either use the Ilagan TPLEX Pura, Dau, San Fernando or the other route via San Fernando.
Residents of Bataan can also ride a Victory Liner bus in Mariveles, and travel straight to Tuguegarao using the same routes. Bus services in both Clark City and Mariveles in Bataan begin at 5 o’clock in the morning, while the last trip going to Cagayan is before 3:45 in the afternoon.
“We thank the government, especially the Department of Transportation and Railways (DOTR) for this opportunity to service millions of our fellow Kababayans in this part of Luzon. With constant bus services going to and from these areas, the delivery of goods and people’s migration would surely bring economic growth in the Cagayan Valley, as well as in the Cordilleras,” said Marivic del Pilar, VP for Finance and Marketing of Victory Liner.
Victory Liner has deployed deluxe First Class 41-seater buses with comfort rooms, and several 29-seater deluxe airconditioned buses with sophisticated entertainment systems for its loyal commuters. For the Mariveles, Bataan to Tuguegarao trip, the fare costs P1,022 for deluxe, while first class trip tickets cost P1,258.
The new Victory Liner routes will invigorate not just the towns of the Cagayan Valley but even towns of the Cordilleras, as these buses will pass the Santiago Road which is just 50 kilometers away from Banawe and Sagada, two towns that are being developed as potential tourism growth centers.
Tuguegarao City has seen tremendous economic development since 2017 when Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 7.1 percent, even higher than the Philippines’ GDP growth for that year. Cagayan Valley has consistently registered between 3 to 6 percent annual GDP growth.
Clark, meanwhile, has been given a tremendous growth boost with the development of Clark Global city. The 177-hectare mixed-use development is touted to be the next capital city, created to decongest the National Capital Region (NCR).
