LENI: WRITE LETTERS TO FRONT-LINERS
To boost the spirits of front-line workers, why not write them letters of hope, Vice President Leni Robredo said as she invited ordinary folk, especially children, to join the “Sulat ng Pag-asa” initiative. The letters may also be addressed to patients fighting the disease. “Aside from bringing cheer to front-liners, the project also hopes to provide an avenue for children to express themselves, which many of them may find difficult during stressful situations such as this,” Robredo said in a statement. Those who wish to participate may scan or take a photo of their letter or artwork and email it to istoryangpagasa@gmail. com. They may also send their work via Viber, Whatsapp or Telegram at 0917-8894250. These will be printed by the Office of the Vice President, for sending to hospitals, partners and volunteers alongside donations already being distributed by the office. As of Tuesday, Robredo’s fundraising campaign— done in partnership with Kaya Natin! Movement—has raised over P55.8 million for front-line workers. It has so far delivered 88,800 sets of personal protective equipment to 487 hospitals across the country.
