Israel COVID-19 cases jump in schools
Jerusalem—coronavirus infection rates have risen in Israel, particularly in schools, since the government began easing restrictions and it may reimpose them if the trend continues, the health ministry said on Friday. The number of positive tests rose to 101 on Friday from four last Saturday and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet ministers and senior health officials on Saturdayto decide whether to again close schools for some grades. —REUTERS
India returns alleged bird spy to Pakistan
SRINAGAR, INDIA—INDIAN police have released a pigeon belonging to a Pakistani fisherman after a probe found that the bird, which had flown across the border between the nuclear-armed nations, was not a spy. The Pakistani owner had urged India to return his bird, which Indian villagers turned over to police after discovering it. It was unclear if it flew back to its owner. —REUTERS

NEW York—forbes magazine scratched Kylie Jenner off its billionaires list after her beauty brand Coty, which was initially valued at $1.2 billion in January, was reported to be “significantly smaller and less profitable,” the publication said. Forbes also accused the reality TV star’s family of “inflating the value of her cosmetics business for years.” Jenner, whose wealth Forbes estimated at under $900 million, said she never asked for any title. —AFP
