Love your home with Wilcon

- By Vaughn Alviar @Inq_property

If your address turned overly familiar and drab under the COVID-19 lockdowns, Wilcon Depot has simple advice for you on its 43rd anniversary: “Love your home.” Reinvigorate your address. Buy new items. Rearrange things. Reallocate spaces. Let Wilcon be your partner.

Wilcon traces its beginnings to 1977. Before turning into a household name, it was just a 60-sqm hardware store along Quezon Avenue. In just a few years, the shop opened branches. In 2003, Wilcon Depot launched its first big-box format depot store in Las Piñas.

Six years later, it inaugurated Wilcon Home Essentials, a mall-based retail store. In 2017, it became the first publicly listed company in its sector.

Wilcon now operates 61 stores nationwide, from Laoag to General Santos. The numbers and achievements prove that Wilcon is, indeed, the country’s leading home improvement and construction retail store. The feat is attributable to Wilcon’s commitment to delivering the best products and services.

The wide array of top-grade products at Wilcon make it a one-stop-shop for everything that you may need in building, improving and refining your home. Stores carry the world’s best brands, from Grohe and Kohler for the bathroom to

Franke and Hamden for the kitchen and Heim for the living rooms. It also sells Italian and Asian tile brands. Homes buckling down for the new normal can explore the options for notouch technologies, cleaning and sanitation, and work- and learn-from-home redesigns.

Wilcon revolutionized the industry with comfortable shops, free parking spaces, tile-cutting and delivery services, among others. It also made spaces more helpful to customers, setting up the Living, Kitchen and Bath or LKB Showroom and Design Hub for inspiration and guidance. Building professionals can hang out at the Architects, Builders, Contractors, Designers, and Engineers (ABCDE) Lounge.

Customers can visit the branches for a convenient and safe shopping experience. Wilcon continues to implement precautionary measures, including temperature checks, contact-tracing forms, sanitizing hand and shoe baths, and a strict “no mask, no entry” policy. Guests are also kept socially distanced, while front-facing stations are fitted with partitions. Contactless payment is an option. Buyers can earn and redeem points with the Wilcon Loyalty Mobile App as well.

Wilcon Depot also provides a hassle-free shopping alternative with its Browse, Call and Collect/deliver service. Customers can look for their needs on the Wilcon website or online shop, and place orders via call, text or Viber. They may collect their purchases in-store or have them delivered at their doorstep. Shop at Wilcon Depot and Wilcon Home Essentials nationwide for the rest of October to enjoy up to halfprice slashes and generous rewards in the Wilcon Anniversary Sale.

Despite the new coronavirus, Wilcon has continued to be upbeat. The company opened three branches in Bulacan and Laguna since June, and broke ground in Isabela and Davao del Norte just this month. The drive to hit 100 locations by 2025 is as alive as ever.
