Without a doubt, The Glaston Tower is one proof of how much Ortigas Land is acknowledging that sustainability is the way of the present and the future

For those who work in traditional offices, what do you constantly wish for in your workspaces?

Perhaps, good natural light, healthy air conditions, generously designed common areas where employees can take a breather in between tasks and deadlines, and a handful of commercial establishments where one can quickly run to for a bite and other essentials. It wouldn’t hurt, of course, if it bears the stamp of a reputable developer.

Poised to become Metro Manila’s next prime business address is The Glaston Tower, a 34-story office in Ortigas East and developed by none other than major property player Ortigas Land. Rising at the corner of Ortigas and E. Rodriguez (C5) Avenues, the project boasts of a sustainable design and is targeting a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The globally recognized green building certification system was developed by the US Green Building Council, which had set a standard for the design, construction and operation of green buildings.

PREMIUM FEATURES

The Glaston Tower is designed to allow as much natural light in, as studies have shown that those who work while exposed to natural light experience less work-related health issues such as headaches, eye strain and blurred vision. The sustainable lighting design also brings down energy costs. The danger of being exposed to allergy-causing toxins are reduced since paints and coatings used in the structure are made from non-toxic and non-harmful adhesives and sealants.

Adhering to the Philippine

Green Building Code’s requirements, this premium high rise also features energy efficient window glazing and roof insulation. This ensures less transfer of solar heat and provides greater shading ability, both of which prove to be more cost effective. The need for airconditioning will thus be kept to a minimum as the interiors of the entire building will be kept cooler during the summer and warmer during colder months.

A rainwater recovery system recycles rainwater for use in the building while a materials recovery facility encourages proper solid waste management.

Connected to the office tower is a premium shopping mall where one can run to for a quick lunch, a cup of coffee or grab some essentials after office. How’s that for convenience?

Without a doubt, The Glaston Tower is one proof of how much Ortigas Land is acknowledging that sustainability is the way of the present and the future. It is carefully designed with features that make green workspaces a reality. Designed for forward-thinking companies and discerning individuals who value well-being, a healthy and modern environment, and a conscious way of living, The Glaston Tower complements the holistic estate that is Ortigas East.
