‘TANIKALA REWIND’ ON YOUTUBE
If you’re looking for something to binge-watch for free, CBN Asia brings you “Tanikala Rewind,” a weekly YouTube marathon of its previous offerings at 8 p.m.
“Tanikala” features madefor-TV films that bring real-life stories of transformed lives every Holy Week. Here are the titles for viewers to get inspired by: “Tinig” (March 14) starring Dulce, Frencheska Farr and John Arcilla; “Liwanag sa Dapithapon” (March 20) featuring Junjun Quintana and Ryza Cenon; “My Sister, My Lover” (March 21) with Jan Manual and Sheena Halili; “Hatol” (March 27) starring Trina “Hopia” Legaspi, back-to-back with “Ama Namin” with Diva Montelaba, Mike Tan, Tricia Amper-Jimenez and Jason Fernandez; and “Sa Isang Iglap” (March 28) starring Glaiza de Castro and Ana Marin.
CBN Asia will also be airing two new made-for-TV movies on GMA Channel 7: “Habang May Ngayon” (April 1) starring Karen Timbol, and “Isa Pang Hiling” (April 2) featuring Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz and Sandro Muhlach.

‘Hugot’ ballad for ‘Idol PH’ alum Dan Ombao
Singer-songwriter Dan Ombao has just released his latest single, a pensive ballad titled “Saranggola,” under Star Music. The “Idol Philippines” alum delivers another “hugot” track about a man hoping for a reunion with his special someone despite knowing that the relationship is already over.

Asian premiere of latest ‘Apprentice’ on March 18
“ONE Championship Edition,” the latest iteration of the popular reality TV series “The Apprentice,” is set to air across Asia on March 18 on AXN and TV5 in the Philippines, followed by a global launch in June across broadcast and streaming platforms.
Filmed entirely in Singapore, during the COVID-19 pandemic no less, the 13-episode first season of this “Apprentice” features 16 candidates handpicked from around the world to compete for a $250,000 job offer to work directly for ONE Championship CEO and series showrunner Chatri Sityodtong as his protege.
Making appearances in the show are ONE Championship athletes Brandon “The Truth” Vera and “Super” Sage Northcutt, as well as special guest CEOs like Anthony Tan (of Grab), Patrick Grove (Catcha Group), Ankiti Bose (Zilingo) and Dino Araneta (QuadX),
But be forewarned, as Sityodtong reminds viewers in the trailer, “This is not your grandfather’s ‘Apprentice.’”
‘Stories of Hope’ beginning March 15
On Monday, GMA News and Public Affairs launches “Stories of Hope”—the newest program that highlights inspiring stories of people living extraordinary lives, and riveting tales of struggle and triumph.
For its initial offering, “Stories of Hope” presents the story of soldiers, Cpl. Ariel “Prince” Reyes and Sgt. Jovan Rey Patagani, who have lost limbs during battles.
The show, which airs Monday nights after “Saksi,” empowers its subjects to tell their stories in their own words, offering an unfiltered look into their personal experiences.
Girl in red’s ‘Serotonin’
Fresh from landing on the BBC Sound of 2021 list, girl in red (real name Marie Ulven) has just announced details of her long-awaited debut album “if i could make it go quiet.” The news is accompanied by the release of the new single and video for “Serotonin,” produced by Grammy-winning producer Finneas and Matias Tellez.
Of the album (out via AWAL on April 30), Marie states: “[The album] ‘if i could make it go quiet’ is an attempt to learn what it’s like to be human; to deal with the scariest parts of myself; to live with the pain of knowing I’m only flesh and bones; to be angry, broken and unforgiving, yet still wear my heart on my sleeve; I’m shedding light on the darkest parts of my mind and I’m letting everyone in; ‘if i could make it go quiet’ is me simply trying to understand what the f*ck is going on.”
