3 Koreans nabbed for online fraud racket

Three Koreans were arrested by immigratio­n agents for their supposed involvemen­t in an online racket that conned their victims of some $9 million, the Bureau of Immigratio­n (BI) on Wednesday said. Arrested were Jung Myunghun, Yu Daewoong and Kang Wesung, the supposed leaders of a syndicate that preyed on customers of online shops in South Korea. Immigratio­n Commission­er Jaime Morente said the three fugitives were arrested on Tuesday by agents of the BI Fugitive Search Unit during simultaneo­us operations in Parañaque City and in Pantabanga­n, Nueva Ecija.
