Angela Ken seizes spotlight with debut single

Star Music’s newest artist Angela Ken has captured the hearts of listeners with the success of her debut single and viral TikTok song “Ako Naman Muna,” recently topping both Spotify’s “Viral 50 Global” and “Viral 50 Philippines” playlists, as well as placing on Spotify Viral charts in Canada, Singapore and UAE.

“All of these achievements are unexpected for me and my family. That’s why I’m very blessed with everything that’s happening now,” Angela said.

The first week of the song’s release already marked laudable feats as its official lyric video visualizer racked up 1 million Facebook views and 500,000 YouTube views, and over 200,000 Spotify streams, on top of being featured in multiple Spotify playlists, such as “Hot Hits Philippines,” “Trending Tracks” and “OPM Rising.” Apple Music also listed the song in its “Absolute OPM” collection.

Meanwhile, Angela dropped the “Ako Naman Muna” official music video last April 4 on Star Music’s YouTube channel.

Last March, Angela officially signed a recording deal with Star Music and a management contract with Star Magic. She was likewise introduced as one of the members of the talent management’s latest teen barkada called “Squad+.”
