Your dream beachside lifestyle realized

- By Din M. Villafuerte @dinmveeINQ

At a time when many of us are landlocked, we find ourselves wishing that we’re living by the beach instead.

When you are obliged to stay put, especially in the concrete jungle for more than a year, it’s hard to think of anything else more refreshing and relaxing than being by the ocean. We miss the smell of salty air, the soothing rhythm of lapping waves, the feel of the sand as we lounge on the shore.

Landco Pacific Corp., a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Corp., has launched its newest leisure tourism estates (LTE) in Batangas that promise to revolutionize the concept of property ownership for Filipinos.

Rising in Laiya and Calatagan in Batangas are Club Laiya and Calatagan South Beach (CaSoBē) respectively, where weary urban dwellers can escape to—to live that beachside lifestyle they have long been pining for. The two masterplanned developments under Landco BeachTowns will both offer mixed-use residential and commercial lots that are right smack in two of Southern Luzon’s top-of-mind tourist destinations.

“These LTEs serve as tourism and lifestyle destinations in a community setting. Its diverse resort amenities make it an attractive weekend getaway, work-from-a-resort option and a venue for events and conferences,” explained Landco president and CEO Erickson Y. Manzano.

Spanning 24 hectares, Club Laiya in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, is designed to be a contemporary resort destination for those who work hard and play harder. Apart from Laiya’s expansive white beach, it will feature spaces and amenities for property owners and tourists who are aiming for an active lifestyle right by the water.

CaSoBē, meanwhile, offers a more laidback vibe. Nestled on the sands of Calatagan, the 15ha estate is poised to allow its future residents and guests true resort living. It has unconventional accommodations such as Cocoons and Crusoe Cabins and will feature a co-working space that will allow you to work right on the beach.

“We all know that the tourism industry has been struggling this past year because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Patrick C. Gregorio, Landco senior consultant for hospitality and tourism. “We love this industry and, if in our own small way the Metro Pacific Group and Landco can start injecting that ‘vaccine’ to resuscitate this industry and to introduce something new that will excite this industry, then we will do it.”

One of the country’s pioneers in upscale leisure developments, Landco has seen to it that those who will find themselves at either Club Laiya or CaSoBē will get that authentic beachfront living experience.

“When we say beachfront living, we mean it,” shared Manzano.

“If you look at CaSoBē and Club Laiya, the farthest lot to the beach is 250 meters. It is literally a two-minute walk. In terms of design, we made it with intention. Our roads are blue to the core. Our manhole covers, lamp posts and sidewalks are artsy, because we know our clients are going to spend decades on this property and they’re going to see these things and we want them to appreciate it,” he concluded.
