PORSCHE RAISES THE BAR WITH 2022 CAYENNE EXCLUSIV
With enhanced digital technologies and convenience features, plus a host of other upgrades, the new 2022 Porsche Cayenne Exclusiv transforms into an even more practical, luxurious and performance-oriented “sports car for the family.” This special variant of Porsche’s hugely successful SUV model, now available at Porsche Center Philippines, is specifically curated for the discerning expectations of consumers in the Philippines.
The 2022 Porsche Cayenne Exclusiv continues the nameplate’s identity as the definitive sport-luxury SUV — something established when Porsche ventured into the SUV segment two decades ago. Over the years, the Cayenne steered the brand on the road to success as it tapped into new markets, with the model breaching the one-million-units-sold mark in 2020.
Specific to the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Exclusiv are intelligent technologies like Park Assist with Surround View, which alerts the driver of obstacles in front and rear of the vehicle via audio and visual warnings, as well as provide a virtual overhead image of the vehicle’s environment; and the Porsche Entry & Drive, which automatically allows entry into the vehicle and access to its luggage compartment. Supplementing these are a four-zone automatic climate control system and the 20-inch Cayenne Sport Wheels.The new intelligent and performance features add to the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Exclusiv’s extended list of standard equipment, which includes LED main headlights with PDLS; LED taillight strip; the Porsche Advanced Cockpit operating concept; the Porsche Communication Management with navigation module; and Connect Plus Module. Among items that are also available are the Porsche Active Suspension Management air suspension; automatically dimming mirrors; and the Bose Surround Sound System.
With its numerous features, the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Exclusiv combines typical Porsche performance with excellent everyday practicality. Its intelligent lightweight construction is complemented by a turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine producing 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque, allowing for a zero to 100 km/h sprint time of only 6.2 seconds, and a top speed of 245 km/h.
Part of the 2022 Cayenne Exclusiv’s expanded mix of sportiness and comfort is credited to the improved eightspeed Tiptronic S gearbox. With its shorter response times and sportier ratios in the lower gears, both the vehicle’s on-road performance and off-road capabilities have improved. Also, the transmission’s tall eighth gear ratio ensures low torque output, optimized fuel consumption and relaxed driving conditions.
The Cayenne is heavily based on Porsche’s iconic 911 sports car. So while offering comfortable seating for five and a large cargo capacity, the SUV is dynamic. Helping ensure this are its standard active all-wheel drive and Porsche 4D Chassis Control — both of which fitted to the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Exclusiv. Combined, the systems make the vehicle agile, secure and safe to drive.
Porsche posted a record first-half sales this year with deliveries of 153,656 vehicles worldwide, representing a 31% leap compared to the same period in 2020. The significant demand in growth spanned all model series and global sales regions, with the most successful model being the Cayenne. From January to June this year, a total of 44,050 units of the Cayenne were sold, 12% more than last year. While sales in the US and China continue to grow, Porsche’s deliveries in Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East increased by a quarter overall, with the Cayenne comprising the bulk of sales.
