FROM ‘STRANGER THINGS’ TO ‘GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE’
Finn Wolfhard, best known as Mike Wheeler in “Stranger Things” and Richie Tozier in “It,” is now sharing the spotlight with Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd in Columbia Pictures’ “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” opening exclusively in Philippine cinemas on Feb. 16.
Directed by Jason Reitman, “Afterlife” is the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In the film, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
“My daughter was thrilled when we cast Finn,” Jason says. “He captures a generation in the way he talks and looks. He has incredible vulnerability in the role of a teenage boy, which is a very unusual characteristic. He also happens to be as obsessed with the nuts and bolts of filmmaking as any young man his age.”
Wolfhard says he’s been a “Ghostbusters” fan since a very young age. “They’re timeless movies, because they are characters that everyone can relate to,” he explains. Join the conversation by using the hashtag #Ghostbusters
Another self-penned hit ballad for Garrett Bolden
Balladeer Garrett Bolden has just released his emotional self-penned single under GMA Music entitled “Pwede Pa Ba?”, now available on various digital platforms worldwide. The single immediately climbed to the third spot of iTunes PH when it was released on Jan. 28.
“The song is about the cliché feeling when you fall out of love or break up with someone,” Garret said. “There’s regret and the longing to go back to the relationship, but you’re not sure if ‘Pwede pa ba?’”
“The Clash” Season 1 alumnus has been tapped to sing the theme songs of GMA dramas such as “The World Between Us” and “Stories from the Heart: Love on Air.” His first self-penned single “Our Love” was chosen to be the official music of the primetime series, “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.”
