PARK INN BY RADISSON DAVAO MARKS KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL WITH ART, MUSIC, FOOD AND STAYCATION OFFERS

-

After a two-year hiatus, the “Kadayawan sa Davao” is finally celebrated in-person this month, thus creating much exhilaration within the city and the tourism industry. Now in its 37th year, the festival serves as a thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest, rich culture, and a celebration of life.

Park Inn by Radisson Davao is joining the festivities as it launched last August 10 the “Pinta Madayaw: A Kadayawan Art Exhibit,” in partnership with the Group of Aspiring Mindanawon Artists (GAMA), and the hotel’s Kadayawan rooms and F&B promotions.

The event was graced by Davao City Vice Mayor Melchor Quitain, Deputy Mayor of the Bagobo-Tagabawa Tribe Bae Sheirelle Uy Anino, Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia Consul Novita, friends from the local art scene, media, tourism, and the corporate sector.

The exhibit aims to support local artists from GAMA and Pasudkaroy where 10 percent of the sold art pieces will be used to purchase art materials for the children trained under Pasudkaroy. Pasudkaroy is a non-profit group composed of visual artists who belong to the Indigenous Persons community and one of their biggest ambitions is to widen the knowledge of IPs in terms of visual arts and to increase the number of visual artists who are part of IPs.

Park Inn by Radisson Davao Kadayawan offerings, which are available until the end of the month, include mouth-watering dishes endowed with local flavor and staycation packages.

Take delight in the hotels’ cake of the month, the flourless durian cheesecake, which is specially curated by the hotel’s pastry team. Have a bite into sliced layers of graham crust and cream cheese, decorated with beautiful Malagos chocolate dark and white chocolate garnish. Whole cake is at P1,600 and a slice costs P195.

Looking for something more savory? Enjoy the Kadayawan Set Meal at P3,850, which is good for five persons. Each set comes with an abundant platter of grilled chicken, tuna, squid, beef satay, sinigang na hipon sa santol, turmeric fried rice, ube rice turon, and pomelo juice.
