RUN TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOMELESS, ABANDONED DOGS
Two powerhouses in championing animal welfare and responsible pet ownership, Robinsons Land Corporation and Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF), are once again teaming up for the live return of Run Fur Life 2022, Sept. 25, 5 a.m., at Bridgetowne, Pasig City.
After two years of virtual runs at home, Run Fur Life 2022 is set to make dog owners and their furbabies run together in an open space to raise funds for a cause.
Run Fur Life started in 2016 as a fundraiser for the maltreated, abandoned and homeless dogs rescued and rehabilitated by AKF. Aside from providing for the needs of shelter animals, it also raises awareness about animal cruelty, ending the dog meat trade, and reducing the number of stray cats and dogs in the country through spay and neutering and responsible pet ownership.
Bridgetowne Destination Estate is a 30.6-hectare fully integrated development connecting Quezon City and Pasig City.
Recognizing the importance of pets to every family, Bridgetowne will be filled with pet parks, pet-friendly condominiums, green spaces and other pet-welcoming establishments. It’s also soon to be the home of Bridgetowne Obstacle Park that’s said to be the biggest permanent obstacle facility of its kind in the world, as well as the 105 x 65-meter Bridgetowne Football Field that’s certified by the standards of the Federation Internationale de Football Association. At the center of these facilities is “The Victor,” a 20-story-high art installation by Filipino-American artist Jefrë Manuel Figueras. The piece symbolizes Filipinos’ victory and unity.
The race kit includes a drawstring bag with a race shirt, cap, face mask, doggie bandana, alcohol dispenser, foldable water bottle, race bib and raffle stub. Purchase of the race kit sponsors a rescue cat or dog for one month.
