Gasoline prices up, diesel down

Pump prices of petroleum products moved in opposite directions for the second straight week on Tuesday. In separate advisories, oil companies raised the prices of gasoline and kerosene by 90 centavos per liter and P1.35 per liter, respective­ly. However, the selling price of diesel was slightly down by 30 centavos per liter. The previous week, gasoline rose by P1.40 per liter but diesel and kerosene dropped by 50 centavos per liter and 35 centavos per liter, respective­ly. Cumulative increases now stand at P18.15 per liter for gasoline, P36 per liter for diesel and P29.95 per liter for kerosene. Dubai crude, the Asian bellwether, ended higher at around $89 per barrel while internatio­nal benchmark Brent crude tumbled to settle at more than $95 per barrel.
