ARANETA CITY LIGHTS UP GIANT ‘BELEN’
Two weeks after lighting its iconic 100-feet Christmas tree, Araneta City continued its holiday celebration with the traditional lighting of its giant Belen on Nov. 11. The Belen, located at Gen. McArthur Avenue (between Farmers Market and Farmers Garden), has been a tradition staple in Araneta City since 1991.
Rev. Father Ronnie Santos, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Barangay Socorro, led the Holy Mass. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, other QC local government units and Brgy. Socorro officials and Araneta City executives also took part in the event.
“Our giant Belen serves as a reminder of why we have Christmas, and helps us reflect on what truly matters this season,” said Marjorie Go, AVP for marketing of Araneta City.
Other upcoming activities include the opening of two classic attractions—Christmas on Display and Fiesta Carnival.
