Comedian committed to Taguig City jail

The Taguig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 69 hearing on the rape charges against television personality Vhong Navarro ordered the celebrity’s detention at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology jail in Camp Bagong Diwa. The comedian has been detained at the National Bureau of Investigation Detention Center since Sept. 19 over rape and acts of lasciviousness charges filed by model Deniece Cornejo. Navarro’s lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque said the order was not related to their petition for bail which is still pending in court, but the offense is nonbailable.
