The Embassy of Colombia brings to the Philippines an extraordinary opportunity to try Colombian food at its best.

Colombian chef Manuel Martinez arrived to share with the Filipino and international communities in Manila his Colombian ancestral flavors and heritage cuisine.

Martinez did a gastronomic regional tour through Australia, Philippines and Vietnam in the framework of the Promotion Plan of Colombia abroad, led by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The chef was formerly an aerospace and manufacturing engineer who traded machines for pots and pans to become a passionate cook specializing in the Colombian gastronomic traditions.

The event was well attended by members of the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as several business leaders. The entire spread was delicious, right down to the desserts and coffee. There was not a single person who walked out of that event without their eyes fully open to the wonders that Colombian cuisine has to offer.
