The National Irrigation Administra­tion inaugurate­s the P170-million Sta. Barbara River Irrigation System in Iloilo that is expected to benefit more than 1,200 farmers and improve the average cropping intensity of farmers in the province to 200 percent. Funded by the Japan Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n Agency, the National Irrigation Sector Rehabilita­tion and Improvemen­t Project covers the towns of Sta. Barbara, Leganes and Pavia in Iloilo province.
