PAYATAS LIVELIHOOD TRAINING CENTER LAUNCHED

The National Union of Bank Employees-Insurance and Finance Organization (NUBE-IFO), in partnership with the Korea Financial Industry Foundation (KFIF) and the UNI Global Union Asia and Pacific Regional Organization (UNI Apro), inaugurated a livelihood training center in the community of Payatas, which aims to address the problem of climate change, discrimination, poverty, and child labor. Present during the launch were Barangay Payatas’ Florante Clarita, Police Capt. Roldan Dapat, Kabalin president Rose Dadulo, NUBE-IFO chairperson Ronnie Magat, Rep. Ralph Tulfo, KFIF secretary general Shim Young-Min, Quezon City District II action officer lawyer Bong Teodoro, UNI Apro Korea’s Choi Jay Jungsik, KFIF project director Lee Ji-yun, NUBE-IFO national president Rainier Cruz and DOLE Makati director lawyer Olivia Obrero-Samson.
