- By Alvin Uy

The best gets even better for owners of Ford vehicles in the country.

Ford Philippines just announced that starting December 2, customers whose Ford vehicles are equipped with FordPass Connect can download and enjoy remote access to many features such as remote door lock/unlock, remote vehicle start/stop, and vehicle locator.

The launch of the FordPass allows customers to have a richer ownership experience through a smart, one-stop platform with an array of useful features for the customers.

FordPass is an app that Ford owners can download on their mobile devices to access vehicle-specific content and support features. With the FordPass App, its customers whose Ford vehicles are equipped with FordPass Connect can access remote control functionalities such as remote start/stop, lock/unlock, and fuel level check. For those Ford vehicles without the FordPass Connect feature, customers can use a cellular modem which contains an e-SIM that enables the vehicle to connect to the internet to have access to the app’s features and commands. The app can also help the owners find their vehicles in crowded carparks through a vehicle locator feature. The FordPass runs on Android 7.0 and above, and iOS 14.0 and above, and can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

“FordPass will drive the future of the Ford ownership experience, and we’re very excited to finally be able to launch it in the Philippines to benefit our customers who are technologically-savvy and always on the go,” says Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines. “With FordPass, it’s like having a personal assistant for your Ford vehicle. We leverage on connectivity to offer our customers a smarter and simpler way of owning a Ford.”

Ford Philippines kicked off its 25th anniversary celebration last week at Bonifacio Global City where it announced a promo for buyers that will give them a chance of winning 25 prizes, including a brand-new Ford Territory 1.5 EcoBoost Titanium+ as the grand prize. The promo is open to all Ford customers getting select models of the next-gen Ford Ranger and next-gen Ford Everest, as well as the Ford Territory and Ford Mustang from all Ford dealerships nationwide from now until December 31, 2022.

“Our 25th anniversary promotion is our way of sending our warmest and sincere appreciation to all customers and enthusiasts who love our Ford vehicles. With this program, we are able to make the purchase and ownership experience more exciting for our customers especially as we welcome the holiday season, too,” shares Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines. “The support that we have received from our customers, as well as from our dealers, employees, and partners has been incredible over the last 25 years, and we can’t wait to move forward with all of them as we drive our future together.”

Each customer who purchased a qualified Ford vehicle during the promo period will be entitled to a raffle entry. In addition, those who purchased under an auto loan program from EastWest Bank or Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) are entitled to an additional raffle entry.

Other prizes include 10 fuel vouchers worth P25,000, 10 service/accessory vouchers worth P25,000 and four brand-new iPhone 14 Plus mobile devices. The raffle draw will be held on January 13, 2023.
