RLC OPENS NEW SHOPPING MALL IN NUEVA ECIJA
Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) has expanded its mall portfolio with the opening of a new outlet in Gapan, Nueva Ecija, which is set to be the property developer’s 54th mall in the country.
In a recent statement, the Gokongwei Group’s property arm said Robinsons Gapan was its second mall in the province and the 12th in Northern and Central Luzon.
The full-service three-level mall is built on a five-hectare property, with a gross floor area of more than 40,000 square meters. It has over 600 parking slots.
“As a growing and rapidly developing city, Gapan is a significant location for our next Robinsons Malls as it provides us a better opportunity to serve our customers not only within the area but also those from nearby communities,” RLC vice president Faraday Go said in a press statement.
“We are both excited and delighted to welcome Nueva Ecijanos to their new favorite place for shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences at Robinsons Gapan,” Go added.
The mall will house local retail and lifestyle shops, casual and quick-service restaurants and movie houses, among others.
Events space
It was also built with an atrium where trade and art exhibits and other events can be held.
In the January to September period, RLC saw its net income attributable to parent firm improve by 6 percent to P6.74 billion, which was supported by stronger topline figures.
Consolidated revenues for the period climbed by 16 percent to P35.77 billion because of increased commercial leasing and better sales recognition from domestic residential projects.
Total assets stood at P221 billion while total equity amounted to P133 billion as of end-September.
“With the economy inching closer to full reopening, RLC is benefiting from the overall improvement in consumer sentiment going into the holiday season. We are encouraged to keep pursuing our investment strategies to create long-term value for our shareholders,” RLC president and CEO Frederick Go said earlier.
