ELECTRIFIED PARADE
Go Electrified with Toyota display at Bonifacio Global City features 35 electrified vehicles
‘Beyond Zero’ is Toyota’s global vision of a greener and more sustainable future. In our country, Toyota Motor Philippines, in fact, first embarked on this electrified journey with the hybrid electric vehicle, Prius, in 2009.
In 2019, the giant Japanese automaker then further expanded its push for electrified mobility with its hybrid version of the Toyota Corolla Altis, not to mention holding the first-ever conference focused on HEVs.
This was then followed by the local hybrid debuts of the Corolla Cross, Camry, RAV4, and the all-new Toyota Zenix.
Now, with the recent unveiling of the all-new Toyota Yaris Cross, TMP begins its own new age of “most affordable HEVs yet.”
The vehicle model is available in three variants: The 1.5 S HEV CVT - P1,598,000; 1.5 V CVT, which starts at P1,296,000; and the 1.5 G CVT, priced at P1,199,000.
During its simultaneous nationwide launch last August 4 held in an unveiling event in Taguig City and in Toyota’s 72 dealerships nationwide, TMP president Atsuhiro Okamoto said the company aspires to bring electrified mobility closer to more Filipinos.
“In Toyota, we believe in a multiple pathway approach to achieve carbon neutrality. One of the ways we are empowering you, our customers, to help build a sustainable future is through electrified vehicles,” he said.
“The way to maximize the environmental benefits of electrified vehicles is through widespread adoption. That is why we offer the widest range of Hybrid Electric Vehicles or HEVs in the market,” he added.
The all-new Yaris Cross is—so far—Toyota’s “best-packaged” HEV yet. With its unbeatable practicality yet stunning features while keeping carbon emissions at bay, it truly is top-notch.
It is currently being paraded at its Bonifacio High Street display together with other electrified vehicles in TMP’s lineup, and Lexus vehicles. This coincides with the carmaker’s one month-long celebration of its 35th year of its thriving business and operations in the country.
In total, there are 35 electrified vehicles on display until today, August 6.
The “Go Electrified with Toyota” affair gives potential customers a chance to get acquainted with the HEVs and personally experience them first-hand. Eventually, this piques their interest, encouraging them to potentially someday own one and thus, contribute to global decarbonization for a more sustainable future.
