A new world-class, green Filipino beauty brand offers body and hair care products powered by raw and organic PH coconuts

“Give peace a chance.” —John Lennon

Life is already too complicated that adding uncontrollable negative energies would just create unproductive hours. Peace needs to come from within, from simple things that affect our spirit and our soul. Peace means living our lives selflessly and treating ourselves and others with respect.

In our personal pursuit of peace, we act with kindness and gratitude for all the blessings and live without fear of compromising our values. In finding solutions to family or work problems, we try to gain enough understanding to find the best path to the right reconciliation.

Peace is finding a place that allows one to connect with the world without worry. Being true to oneself is a solid foundation to have that peace of mind to move forward. This usually means being in touch with something inspiring and often visual. In all the noise that the world creates, it is a joy to find a peaceful place to enjoy the wonders of a new chapter or a new relationship.

Sometimes it’s about being quiet in your thoughts and feelings. This is the reason I love doing the yoga classes of Hatha Yoga instructor Francis Flaviano. The inner peace gained from the yoga session always helps calm my being and jumpstart my day.

I am glad that there are products out there that sustain the same essence of bringing the inner glow that creates healthier skin. I recently discovered skin and hair care brand Dermtropics.

Good skin care

Raised by her dermatologist mother, Dr. Julieta Peralta-Arambulo, Margaux Arambulo-Lucena grew up understanding the value of good skin care. Among the best lessons her mom taught her was to steer clear of products containing harsh chemicals that can harm the skin over time. In fact, Margaux grew up using unscented soap, her mother’s own concoction, after being dissatisfied with the soaps available commercially.

Later on, her mother’s soap became the prototype for her and her husband’s green beauty skin- and hair-care brand, Dermtropics.

Margaux’s husband, Miko Lucena, Dermtropics CEO and head of business development, introduced her to wetmilled virgin coconut oil. It was through his knowledge of farming and sustainable business development that they were able to further develop the unscented soap with this ingredient. Ever since, the wet-milled virgin coconut oil became the brand’s very DNA. Together with Dermtopics’ new ambassador, Rissa Mananquil Trillo, the brand is making green beauty more accessible to anyone who is searching for the most reliable body- and haircare products perfectly suited for their lifestyle.

Dermtropics, a world-class green beauty brand that’s proudly Filipino offers natural bodyand hair-care products powered by raw and organic Philippine coconuts and other plant-based ingredients. The green beauty brand also boasts being fragrance-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, cruelty-free and dermatologist tested.

An entrepreneur, women’s advocate and a known pioneer for homegrown beauty businesses, Rissa is the perfect representation of Dermtropics. Add to this repertoire Rissa’s strong advocacy for the environment and the partnership truly is a match made in heaven.

When asked what made her agree to the partnership, Rissa shared, “In every endeavor I get into, it’s very important for me to partner with companies with standards and values I believe in. The more I got to know Margaux and Miko, the more I saw how community and sustainability are important to them. I love that their products are cultivated by Mindanao farmers, handcrafted by women and tested by dermatologists.”

Choosing my social events carefully, I was delighted to attend the launch of the newest Cle de Peau Beaute beauty products. The new Firming Serum Supreme is the best in the beauty market and totally a product I will use daily.

Next generation

We discovered the next generation of skin-care solutions targeting age-related skin concerns with Cle de Peau Beaute’s latest launch, the Firming Serum Supreme. This groundbreaking product goes beyond 3D science and delves into the fourth dimension of skincare, addressing laxity at its source and uplifting the skin to defy gravity and time.

The 4D Approach combines the advanced Lifting V-Force Exercise with the powerful Root Hybrid Complex, resulting in a structured, multidimensional appearance and reinforced surface tightness. The Skin-Empowering Illuminator enhances Skin Intelligence, ensuring optimal skin condition at the epidermal level.

Recently, an intimate event at the Peninsula Manila brought together media and beauty enthusiasts for an afternoon of skincare science. Dr. Windie Villarica, dermatologist and managing director of Skin Inc Dermatology and Laser Center, emphasized the importance of addressing skin aging not just on the face, but also on other parts of the body that we usually take for granted.

Dr. Villarica emphasized the importance of protecting your skin from harmful elements and supplementing it with a good skin-care line.

The Cle de Peau Beaute team, led by Francesca Sy-Sarte, brand manager for Cle de Peau Beaute for Shiseido Philippines, introduced the New Firming Serum line with a product demo and a facial yoga session. The combination of massage and serum was highlighted as a powerful way to mobilize the skin’s structure, resulting in revitalized and firmer skin. Kaila Nicdao, general manager of Cle de Peau Beaute for Shiseido PH, was also present at the event.

Founded in 1982, Cle de Peau Beaute, meaning “the key to skin’s beauty” in French, has been on a mission to push the boundaries of advanced skin cell science. Today, it stands as a global luxury brand, unwavering in its dedication to sublime skin care achieved through sophisticated leading-edge technology.

Youth is not measured in time, but in the way we care for ourselves. I am excited to journey with Cle de Peau Beaute in these coming months and marvel at the youthful difference.
