GO LOKAL! WITH KULTURA AND DT I

-

Kultura in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), recently launched its GO LOKAL! pop-up store at SM Makati. DTI Sec. Ramon Lopez and SM Investments Corporation ViceChairperson Tessie Sy-Coson together with DTI Usec. Nora Terrado led the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The GO LOKAL! program showcases quality and innovative Philippine products crafted, designed, and produced by the country's micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It will serve as a marketing platform for MSMEs to gain access to local consumers and ultimately, to the global export market.

"Kultura and Go Lokal! are complementary avenues to help our local MSMEs gain retail foothold in the Philippine domestic market,” says DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez. “We are pleased to open a Go Lokal! together with Kultura as a testament of our collective thrust of inclusive growth and development of our MSMEs.”

“Through Go Lokal!, we further our advocacy of providing a platform for businesses to gain retail and marketing experience. We aim to inspire our entrepreneurs to develop uniquely Filipino products that meet global standards and then provide a venue to promote and distribute what they have created,” says Ivy Yap, Kultura’s Senior Vice President for Operations.

GO LOKAL!’s products are produced by regional and provincial suppliers nationwide and from the DTI’s One Town One Product (OTOP) Next Generation Program, offering consumers, institutional buyers, and tourists value for money.

These are products made from indigenous materials but modern in design, world class in packaging, and are competitively-priced. The manufacturers undergo extensive training and development from the Design Center of the Philippines to make their products suitable for retail and export.

The GO LOKAL! product selection at Kultura features home décor, apparel and fashion accessories sourced from all over the country.

Kultura’s GO LOKAL! pop-up stores are located at the First and Second Levels of SM Makati.
