Dec. 9 to 30 Pasko sa Sugbo

Month­long Christ­mas cel­e­bra­tion of the city of Cebu in Cebu prov­ince. The fes­tiv­i­ties opened with the light­ing of the gi­ant Christ­mas tree at Fuente Os­meña Cir­cle on Dec. 1. Ac­tiv­i­ties and per­for­mances by dif­fer­ent sec­tors of the com­mu­nity are held at Fuente Os­meña Cir­cle ev­ery night un­til 12 mid­night.

Dec. 13 to 16 Puto Fes­ti­val

The fa­mous prod­uct of the town of Calasiao in Pan­gasi­nan prov­ince takes cen­ter stage in athree-day-fes­ti­val in abid to pro­mote and boost sales of puto (rice cake). A pa­rade and street danc­ing event will open the fes­tiv­i­ties. Other ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude agay beau­ty­pageant, volleyball tour­na­ment and a cook­ing com­pe­ti­tion fea­tur­ing unique del­i­ca­cies with puto as the main in­gre­di­ent.

Dec. 10 to 23 Inu­gyu­nay Fes­ti­val

Christ­mas party at Tacurong City Hall grounds in Sul­tan Ku­darat prov­ince. The fes­ti­val’s name came from the word “in­u­gyun,” which means to unite. Nightly fes­tiv­i­ties are held in­clud­ing the light-a-tree con­test, movie night and parol-mak­ing con­test. Thean­nual fire­works dis­play, how­ever, is can­celed on Dec. 23 due to se­cu­rity rea­sons.
