Police are investigating a burglary reported at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, the headquarters of the National Capital Region Police Office. According to a report, when PO3 Roy Guiyab and his family came home at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, they found that someone had broken into their unit in Building F of the Southern Police District (SPD) quarters. “Personal belongings inside the bedrooms [were] in disarray” while the padlock on a bedside drawer had been destroyed, Guiyab told the police. Aside from his 9mm Glock pistol, a gold necklace and P8,000 in cash were also stolen. The burglar, who remained unidentified, reportedly entered the unit by breaking a window in the bedroom. At that time, the victims were at a nearby shopping mall. Guiyab is assigned at the District Investigation and Detective Management Division of the SPD.
