Sentro 1771

Philippine Tatler Best Restaurants - - MODERN FILIPINO -

Sentro 1771 has so established itself among the discerning palates of Manileños, that it is difficult to find a time the restaurant is not full of patrons. It's that good.

Start off your meal with a flavoursome fried kesong puti. The delicate native white cheese nicely contrasts with its crisp breaded exterior. For entrées, the exceptional chicken adobo sa gata is a must-try. The dish retains the classic vinegar, garlic, and peppercorn composition, but the coconut milk provides a refreshingly richer and denser variation of the classic adobo. Follow this up with a delicious eggplant torta filled with crispy flaked bangus and tofu. Cap off your meal with the halo-halo, made up of some of the freshest ingredients, such as red mung beans, sweetened garbanzos, and Sentro’s own home-made ube.
