door, a rustic wooden slab, made imposing with sculpted iron figurines as embellishment. A Greek terracotta pot and lantern flank the door which, when opened, reveals the incredible views that welcome guests virtually into the sea.

The main building volume houses the common areas, whereas the slightly higher structure, clad in local stone, houses the couple’s private space. The layout of the outdoor areas follows the topography of the natural landscape through a series of pathways and stone steps that define the areas of relaxation, either sheltered from the sun or open. Special emphasis was placed on selecting local materials and creating custom-made construction to highlight the minimal space design and embody a cosy chic atmosphere. Some unconventional choices were originally made to highlight how each room is experienced and the quality of life in it. A favourite is the in-floor cement bathtub in the master bedroom that offers unparalleled views of the sea, and the fabulous hot tub that hangs from the edge of the cliff.

On the terrace to the side of the house, large picture windows and doors frame the views and offer an invisible transition from the interior to the spectacular outdoor space. The architects designed the home as a deconstructed rectangle such that all bedrooms have direct access to the saltwater infinity pool, hot tub, and the wide deck laden with sun beds and poufs to indulge everyone’s appetite for a summer tan.

A traditional wooden trellis covered in cane with massive wooden pillars runs along the entire structure. Lounge areas with builtin seating and marine-themed blue and white cushions join with an al fresco dining area. Hanging woven rope lamps and macramécovered flower planters swaying in the breeze
